I went to get my oil changed this week at Sharon Automotive. While I was waiting, a sales person came into the shop. The owner was on the floor so I was the only one in the sales area and clearly sitting in the waiting area. He opened the door and stuck his head in which struck me as odd. He then asked me if I work there. I was sitting in the waiting area playing a game on my phone. If I worked there, I was a TERRIBLE employee. So I said no, but I was sure the owner would be right back. He then walked in. The owner came out and asked if he could help this person. So this is where it got awful. Preparation Means Always Being There
Recently my computer died a horrible death. Of course it wasn’t on a Friday afternoon where I would then have all weekend to fix it – it happened on a Monday morning. Gee, thanks. I formatted the drive and began rebuilding. But the reality was, I couldn’t stop working to do the rebuild all at once. It reminded me of when my husband and I moved from our first apartment to our first house. We moved most of it ourselves over our last month of the lease agreement. While it was endless and exhausting, at the end of the month we had very few boxes left to unpack. Same thing happened here. I started by thinking about what I needed immediately. Cell Phone Etiquette
Recently, a friend of mine and I were in a meeting and she asked me to blog about cell phone etiquette. Â I was surprised because I thought, “what do I know about cell phone etiquette?” and then I started looking around. People are really rude when it comes to cell phones! Â So here’s what I’ve noticed: First, when going into a meeting, turn off your cell phone. Â That’s an easy thing and no one should have to be reminded. Â Take out your pen, and put your cell phone on vibrate. Next, if you are in a public place, put your cell phone on vibrate. Â The meeting we were having was in a small coffee shop so when the person at the next table received a phone call. Â It rang so loud we all jumped.
