We haven’t heard from Fritz in awhile and he was concerned about that. Â He wanted to suggest that we don’t just take this week to give thanks, but make it a part of our whole next year.
Much like a New Year’s Resolution, a Thanksgiving Resolution would be one where we resolve to give thanks throughout the year. Â Especially at a time when many of us will be in busy stores, and busy parking lots, now is the time to take a moment and thank people for being there. Â Someone let’s you into traffic – be sure to thank them. Â Someone helps you in a store – say thank you. And for the people you care about, thank them for being a part of your life.
That doesn’t have to be a flowery message telling them how valuable they are, but can be a simple note or comment tailored just for them. Â Fritz of course recommends kisses but that may be a bit much.
If you set a goal to make sure people know you appreciate them, you will give thanks all year. Â Those gestures will help make you recognized as a truly caring person and people want to work with people who care about them. Â So make a Thanksgiving Resolution to say thanks and show your appreciation!
And Happy Thanksgiving!
